$50,000 US dollars for.... Meh upgrades.
I mean having your own picnic table is nice, but no thanks.

I’d hit that like the angry fist of god, though.

yeah, I’m with you on this take. 36 grand for an STI or 50 grand for this? Pass. I can buy a lot of go fast for 14 grand.

You can get a GT350 on Carmax for that much. CP

I don’t like the Impreza platform as a whole, but for those that do this is probably the lastest and bestest EJ257 Impreza before the impending switch to the (vastly superior) 2 liter

Saw what Porsche has been doing for a decade and thought, “hmmm... why can’t we do that?” Premium for exclusivity. I’d never get one - but for a select handful, why not.

Less exclusive. Only 200 of these being made

Hmm I could spend $37k on upgrading my car and end up with something far better for the same total cost. Considering its still the same engine essentially to start with.

I do have to say I love the interior much much more

Agreed, but this will fetch quite a premium on Bring a Hover Trailer in 20 years over the more plebian STI.

isn’t that just sadly true

I guess I get wanting to have a rare car, but that is so meh to me. Especially since its just a limited run of a common car. Even if it has upgrades. A 500 HP v8 overcomes any exclusivity for me haha

yeah I mean for $30k you can get a C6 Z06 and have $20k to play with upgrades and such
![]() 04/10/2018 at 15:11 |

Or a c7 z51 and no money to play with, if you want something more modern. Or an SS. There is just too much fun stuff in that price range.

Your car is already miles ahead in the looks department.

$50k should be for some cosworth version or the equivalent of an Evo FQ400. For this? Ridiculous. I’d rather have the S3 I currently have yet paid $10k less for.

You could get a STI and put a twin scroll manifold and a modern turbo in it for less than this and make way more less laggy power lol.
![]() 04/10/2018 at 16:06 |
|
Some of that $37k would definitely be dedicated to interior haha.
![]() 04/10/2018 at 16:46 |

yeah it is a big segment if you want a car for fun, not just collecting.

Ya I said in another post you can get a twin scroll manifold and a great turbo plus a host of other upgrades for this. The twin scroll turbo would make a HUGE different in improving the car as well. Much more than a wing and all that.

Eh, it’s not always about $/hp.
Otherwise we’d all be in NA miatas with SBC swaps.

If I had the dollars, that’s what I’d spend it on!
